How Iceland Is Using Social Media To Rebuild Their Image

Bankruptcy, volcano eruptions and Björk. Iceland had some hard times. The new campaign “Inspired by Iceland” is rebuilding the image. Great stuff.

The Facebook page already counts 24’000 people  an active Twitter account replying to everyone; tips on things to do, hotels, bars, sites, tours, recreation and transportation; six live cams; native music; stories (by location) and you can submit your own stories; and the possibility to send e-cards and implement online banners on your site.

A social media campaign right out of the textbook. Love it! Have a look at the official page “Inspired by Icleand” or read the article on SocialTimes
