Send Attachments in Facebook and Send Your Message to a Cell Phone

Facebook has just dropped an easter egg in our message basket. You can now send attachments via Facebook and you can send your Facebook message to a cell phone. The two things we have all been waiting for. Will we all soon use only Facebook and no more e-mail?

The new attachment option must still be in the testing phase. While my girlfriend can now send attachments via the Facebook message option, my account has not been able to do so. Nevertheless I can now receive attachments. While most of my messaging happens on Facebook, I now no longer have to switch to my mail account when I need to send attachments.  This makes e-mail redundant.

Additionally you may soon be able to send your message to a cell phone. We tested the option but couldn’t receive a message. At least in Switzerland. It could work for the US or any other country that allows text messaging on Facebook.
