How To Track Print-Ads

In 2009 Google closed the presses on print-ads. Why? Because print-ads are hard to track. But with the technological advancement print-ads are becoming more and more trackable.

The Switzerland based image recognition company Kooaba has developed a bridge between print-ads and digital devices. By using the Paperboy mobile app users snap a picture of a print-ad and directly have full access to digital content. This solution offers advertisers new possibilities in customer engagement, branding and tracking. Kooaba’s CMS system even connects with Apple’s new iAd service, enabling easy to use digital/print advertising solutions.

Was it too soon for Google to quit print-ads? Might Google even bring back the print-ad in combination with these new services?
